INTRODUCING THE RELAY
If you're into history, breath-taking scenery, team camaraderie, physical challenges, and gracious hospitality then you won't find another race like the Klondike Road Relay.
The course climbs over the historic White Pass following the trail of the Gold Rush Stampeders. From the start line beside a White Pass and Yukon Railway locomotive the runners travel through Alaska, British Columbia and Yukon passing through the traditional territories of the Carcross Tagish First Nation, Kwanlin Dün First Nation, and the Ta'an Kwäch'än Council.

The terrain is challenging and awe-inspiring rising from sea level in Skagway to an elevation of 1,004 metres at the top of the pass before descending to 610 metres at the finish in Whitehorse.

The race is in the north so participants should be prepared for any and all weather conditions. The night sky may be clear and starry with the aurora dancing above, but don’t be surprised if it’s foggy, rainy, or even snowing.

Rest assured, historically the race has ended on a sunny, crisp fall day in the Yukon’s capital.
